Here’s how the verb "to work" is conjugated in all types of sentences (affirmative, negative, interrogative) in the present simple.

هكذا يتم تصريف الفعل "to work" في جميع أنواع الجمل (الإيجابية، السلبية، الاستفهامية) في زمن المضارع البسيط،

To form the affirmative we use the base form of the verb

لتكوين صيغة الإيجاب (+) نستخدم الصيغة الأساسية للفعل

1. I work at a school

In the third person singular we add "s" or "es" to the base form of the verb

في ضمير الغائب المفرد نضيف "s" أو "es" إلى الصيغة الأساسية للفعل

There are some spelling rules to follow

هناك بعض القواعد الإملائية التي يجب اتباعها

1. If the verb ends with (y) preceded by a vowel (A,E,I,O,U) we add only an “s”             

1. إذا كان الفعل ينتهي بـ (y) مسبوق بحرف متحرك (A,E,I,O,U) نضيف حرف "s" فقط

1. If the verb ends with (y) preceded by a consonant (b,d,c,…..) we change “y” to “i” and we add “es”

1. إذا انتهى الفعل بـ (y) مسبوق بحرف ساكن (b,d,c,…..) نغير "y" إلى "i" ونضيف "es"

1. If the verb ends with ( ss , sh , ch , o , x ) we add “es”

1. إذا انتهى الفعل بـ ( ss, sh, ch, o, x) نضيف "es"

Notes:                                                                                      :ملاحظات

1. We make the negative by using "do not / don't" or "does not / doesn't"

1.  "do not / don't" أو "does not / doesn't" نُكَوِّن النفي باستخدام

1. Examples:

1. I do not eat burgers 
2. She doesn't play ballet 
3. Hassan does not like supercars
4. Ayman and Hanae don't have exams this week

1. We not add "s" after she, he, It in the negative

1. لا نضيف "s" بعد "She" أو"He" في حالة النفي

Incorrect sentence	Correct sentence
She doesn't likes meat	She doesn't like meat

1. We make questions by using this rule

1. نُكَوِّن الأسئلة باستخدام هاته القاعدة

DO + I/YOU/YOU/WE/THEY+ BASE VERB

DOES + SHE/HE/IT+ BASE VERB
